At Wildlife Whitsundays, the health and happiness of our animal ambassadors is our top priority. We are dedicated to providing them with the best possible care, ensuring that their physical, mental and emotional well-being is always maintained.
Our experienced keepers create a nurturing and stimulating environment for the animals in our care. This includes providing high-quality nutrition, comfortable living spaces and enrichment activities that mimic the species natural behaviours. We understand that each animal has unique needs and preferences and we strive to cater to them as individuals.
We prioritise regular health checks to ensure that our animals are healthy and free from illness or injury. Any medical concerns are addressed promptly and we have protocols inplace to handle emergencies should they arise.
We also believe in the importance of positive reinforcement training using rewards-based methods to build trust and establish positive relationships between our staff and the animals. This helps to ensure that the animals feel safe in their interactions with us and allows them to participate in their own care through husbandry training methods.
Licences and permits
At Wildlife Whitsundays we take pride in our commitment to legal practices in all aspects of our business. We understand the importance of adhering to strict regulations set by various government agencies to ensure the welfare of the animals in our care as well as the protection of the environment.
We are licensed by the Queensland Government to keep and exhibit a range of native wildlife species and our permits are regularly reviewed to ensure that we maintain compliance with all necessary regulations.
In addition to our government permits we also hold all necessary insurances to operate responsibly. We believe that by operating with transparency and accountability we can provide our clients with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their experiences are being conducted with the utmost care.
