As a family-owned business we're passionate about bringing the wonder of Australian wildlife to the world-famous Whitsundays.
From unforgettable animal experiences to public presentations we offer our mobile services to a wide range of events including birthday parties, school visits, corporate events, weddings, photography and film shoots, markets and festivals and community educational programs.
Our focus on species education and conservation is at the heart of everything we do. By introducing our animal ambassadors to peoples doorsteps, we hope to foster a greater appreciation for these amazing creatures and inspire a desire to protect them for future generations.
Our credentials
Founder Tenielle Matheson provides a wealth of experience and knowledge at Wildlife Whitsundays having worked with a diverse array of Australian native fauna as the Presentations and Animal Training Manager at The National Trusts' Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast.
Tenielle has developed and delivered renowned world class entertainment and educational animal experiences to the highest zoological standards for over a decade including the Big Fang Theory Reptile Show, Aussie Scales and Tales Show, The Crocodile Show and the organisations signature show, Wild Skies Free Flight Bird Show. Tenielle was also a key member of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Animal Welfare Committee and the Animal Training Advisory Group responsible for the enhancement and implementation of improved welfare and husbandry training practices.
Prior to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Tenielle worked as a wildlife rehabilitation carer and vet nurse which helped gain a solid knowledge of common health issues and preventative measures for captive Australian and exotic species.
At Wildlife Whitsundays, Tenielle brings her experience and knowledge to provide unique and educational animal experiences and public presentations. Her extensive background inanimal training and welfare ensures that all our animal interactions are safe and provide the highest level of care for our animal ambassadors.
